The staff were pleasant and welcoming. The room was a good size and clean. The crazy golf was very good, excellent thought out. The spa facilities and treatment was excellent.

The request for an early check-in was not on the system. The restaurant was very disappointing with very limited choice, over priced and low quality food, with several people asking for refunds, service was very slow waited nearly 15 minutes for a server to take our order. Food was very oily with a pool of oil sitting at the bottom of the bowl, and the burger bun so soggy it wasn't edible. The dining area ceiling had several brown stains and one part had significant water damage with the ceiling sagging. The breakfast and service in the morning was shocking there was no tables ready, with many still having used plates and food from previous people on them, when finally got a table we did not get cutlery, napkins or glasses, we had to search for someone to get us these items. There was no glasses or cups clean which ment we had to wait around 20 minutes to get a glass, which were still sat on the bar in a draining rack, when getting hot food there was no eggs or bacon and had to ask someone to get more, there was no sauces. The continental food was very limited with most items also not available, had to wait for someone to get more, there was no cup so had to make coffee's in a takeaway cup which only filled half way, to which the coffee machine then stopped working. By the end of our breakfast many people had left and none of the tables were cleaned with about 10 or more tables stacked full of dirty plates, cups and uneaten food on them and the waiting staff stood at the bar chatting drinking coffee, people had to so up to them for them to replenish the food and to clean a table for them to sit down. The pool had been over saturated with chlorine so it stung our eyes before even got in the pool, this deterred is from staying and we left after an hour due to our eyes burning, the sauna and steam room was out of order and the stair leading to second floor were very dirty and unkept with what looked like brick dust and bare concrete.

The pool and massage area, very relaxing. The outside area was tranquil with views of golf course. Our room was spacious and had nice view.

Unclean floors in the dining area. Breakfast food was luke warm and items were not restocked up. Coffee machine did not cope with amount of customers using it. The thermal hydro spa was closed due to refurbishment. We were not aware of this until we arrived.

The SOUTHWOLD Room for size and cleanliness. 10/10 excellent.

SOUTHWOLD room had no robes as advertised. I forgot to tell the Receptionist when checking out that the back of the chair at the dressing table was broken. Not guilty! The Dinner on both nights was good and the waiting staff, although pleasant, need more training re attention to detail e.g. going past tables empty handed without collecting finished meal plates from table. The Breakfast on Sunday morning, as one complaining guest was heard to say, "shambolic!". The reason? Two fold. 1. Simply a lot of people but to be fair the hot food bar was kept fully stocked. 2. The cause for real concern was the coffee / tea machine being extremely slow and then breaking down. By accident I discovered there was a coffee pot on the bar counter but staff were not in attendance to inform people. Attention to detail. I can understand why you would not want to employ more waiting staff to take orders for tea / coffee and then serve but I would suggest an urgent review re your machine (and the unhygienic mess behind it) and the positioning of it. The Monday morning breakfast was "back to normal" but still a constant queue of people waiting to get a tea / coffee.

Very loud and disruptive people in the room nextdoor (408) and a hair in my breakfast! Disgusting.

Old, outdated and shabby with visible water leaks on ceilings. I'm disabled, and I asked for an accessible room weeks in advance with a walk-in shower but that simply didn't happen. My daughter had to help me into and out of the shower and it leaked like a sieve all over the floor, which made it very dangerous. I raised this query with the front desk, verbally complained but nothing was done to move me to a room with an accessible bathroom. The swimming pool facilities were not accessible to a disabled person either. Food and drinks were extortionately priced and were mediocre at best..so I spent most of the time over the little Christmas break in the bedroom...and couldn't get room service as advertised with menus in the bedroom until I directly confronted the main desk.

Everything except for the bar, restaurant and housekeeping staff.
