Central Birmingham 2 Bed with Balcony and City Views

Clean and caretaker obviously making an effort to make it as clean as possible for what is a noisy location and in a cheaply renovated flat

Wall heating didn't work but there were plug in heaters supplied

Spacious, comfortable, clean. The staff respond very quickly to any enquiry. Good location, easy to get into the heart of the city.

It was cold. The windows are drafty and the heating is insufficient in cold weather. There was not enough crockery or cutlery for 5 people (2 teaspoons, a few knives and no forks at all).

This is NOT a luxury apartment at all: The apartment was wholly unclean; dirty laundry left in flat, hairs all over linens, unclean bed/sheets Main bathroom smelt of mould due to heating not working in it Extremely confusing to locate the flat upon first arrival; located in a maze like building that is very poorly signposted No fob key given for easy access to car- park so had to walk the long way with shopping bags etc Host is completely unprofessional and became threatening after I reported several issues to her. She proceeded to make spiritual threats to my family, it’s unsafe to make a booking with this supposed host. I would relate her to being a witch due to the threats she sent. This was the worse experience I’ve ever had with a booking and I am a seasoned traveller. I suspect that this is host immature and inexperienced in life & hosting in general and should not be on any official platform reporting to be a host of any type. Extremely disappointing & stressful stay.

I liked having an apartment instead of hotel rooms as I was travelling with my 2 sisters. Having Netflix was good as the weather was horrible so we got a bottle of wine and watched movies! Having a kitchen was good. It is obvious that someone is trying to make it a lovely place to stay, but it could be much better.

The apartment is not in the location given on the map on Booking.com. I was looking for something closer to the city centre. It was too late to cancel by the time I realised. We were only given 2 towels for 3 people - even though I did check with them. A number of the heaters didn't work including the one in the main living room, so the place was cold. There was a small portable heater but it was very small. Subsequently the bathroom and one of the bedrooms had a mould smell. The kitchen didn't have any sharp knives or oven gloves, only 2 wine glasses, no bottle opener (luckily we got a screw top!) The bedside lamp in the twin room didn't work and there was none in the other room. The road outside was noisy and the windows didn't really do much to block the noise.
