Really friendly warm stay for exploring the moors

Small cosy Dartmoor pub, lovely home cooked food. Comfortable bed.

This was a great find. The beer is fantastic, the food excellent. The atmosphere was homely, with a real fire blazing and locals chatting. An olde world pub that actually is. The bedrooms were in keeping with the character of the pub. The bed was very comfortable. Tea and coffee in the room. Didn't try the TV, after the beer and food, sleep came too quickly. Had to cut the break short, which was unfortunate but no reflection on the property or landlady. I was so looking forward to an evening with more real ale and a lamb shank. Next time!! Oh, don't forget to order a breakfast. The FULL ENGLISH (well nearly full, I don't like tomatoes or beans!!) was fantastic.

Schöne Lage - leicht versteckt - im Nationalpark, guter Ausgangspunkt um den Dartmoor Nationalpark zu erkunden, kostenlose Parkplätze, sehr nette Wirtin mit guten Empfehlungen, Pub unterhalb mit gutem Essen (Frühstück & Abendessen), Zimmer sauber und gut eingerichtet
