Era autentico y se notaba el cuidado de la anfitriona en la habitacion y sus detalles El sitio era bonito,me habria quedado mas tiempo y habria hablado con el personal

La carretera para llegar era dificil,no puso facilidades en el check in cuando le pedimos que lo retrasara una hora

Simone was a brilliant host and we had such a lovely evening.

Bit narrow road but was fine.

Landlady Simone was polite and showed me the room which was meticulous. Also showed me the separate toilet and bathroom which again were in good order. Pub I’ve been to before and bearing in mind the location it’s going to be quiet on a Sunday night. Usually the opposite on a Friday etc. Parking no problem. I’d rather pay double than be in a Travelodge stuck next to a noisy motorway with little ambience let alone no atmosphere whatsoever.

Not getting there at lunchtime.

The place had an old fashioned, deeply authentic charm that’s becoming harder and harder to find. It was also brilliantly staffed by Simone, with her excellent, generous cooking, and relaxed welcoming attitude that soon had us feeling like part of the furniture. Situated in a beautiful part of the countryside, all for a very generous price what’s not to love?

I’d have liked it if Simone could have told me her roast potatoes recipe. Guess I’ll just have to go back.
