Beautiful Spacious Ground Floor Newington flat

We loved the space. The furniture was high quality, as were the fixtures and fittings. Fluffy, soft towels were provided, along with a selection of teas and coffees. The building was impressive, with high ceilings, huge doors, cornices, and dado rails. The walk to the old town took ten to fifteen minutes, depending on speed. The location is very near Arthur's Seat.

We liked everything. A washing-up bowl would have been helpful as we ate in mostly. Or a plug for the sink. I took a heat pad because I feel the cold, and I guess a couple of thick spare blankets might help cold people.

Didn't like having to pay an additional deposit

The main bedroom and loving room really are a wow factor.

A bit churlish but one side of main bed didn’t have a plug socket which was a bit annoying. Easily remedied by bringing a power pack! Also. Toilet seat needs fixing / replacing

Super beliggenhed med masser af bus transport lige udenfor. Hyggeligt område i universitets området- masser af café og butikker. Gode store værelser

Spise bordet klistrede som om det var fejl behandlet. Meget lille håndvask på toilettet- så svært at undgå vand på gulvet

the house is spacious, it was clean, the kitchen well stocked. The hosts were top notch in quick replies and assistance. If you’re looking for a nice place on campus or close to the university, it was good.

The house cleaner was rude and wouldn’t open the door when I knocked at 5 min prior to check-in , while it was raining outside. Then snipped that it might not be up to par because I was early…. it was 358 for a 4 o’clock check in. That was amazingly off putting for a starting point. There was miscommunication on early check in. I received an email with check in code and check time @ 10-11. I didn’t arrive until 230. Code didn’t work, cleaner was there allowed to put bags there and once again as stated above made it a point to tell us not to come back until 4. Seemed like a power play or she was busy using the apartment more for herself. I could’ve had that apartment cleaned up in less time - it’s not that big. Just rude and off putting. The heating unit, while video and instructions were included with check in instructions, it was hard to see it and they were incorrect in the description. So that was a struggle. There were no instructions on how to turn the shower power on. I’m from the US. In fact no where I’ve stayed (italy and germany) have I had to turn the shower on in the hallway. One of the bedrooms sits right on the sidewalk, and oddly enough, it’s the one room without the heavy duty shutters. The back door lock is super hard to lock and unlock. I actually couldn’t get it - my roommate barely got it after messing with it for 10 minutes.

Spacious rooms, high ceilings, separate wc to shower. Generally clean, kitchen facilities. Comfy beds. Fairly secure, would've liked a secondary lock to front door. Photos of flat were very accurate.

Some cobwebs around ceilings, did have unexpected large spider as guest. Noise from above flat, probably students for most of night on our last night else generally quiet. Shower room was small as the door was very close to shower door.

A proximité des transports (15mn du centre-ville) et des commerces. Le confort du salon et des chambres. Appartement spacieux. Des fournitures présentes (café, lait, gâteaux…)

. L’exiguïté de la douche. Un seul lavabo (dans les toilettes !). Mauvaise évacuation de la douche. . Hotte en panne. . Pas de brosse dans les toilettes. . Mauvaise indication du réseau wifi. . Voisin du dessus bruyant. Bref un rapport qualité-prix insuffisant.
