Modern Town-Centre Apartment

Location is super

Access to property is from rear. A lot of kids seemed to hang about there on the back stairs, drinking. They were not loud or unpleasant, it is just not a nice way to enter the property. I parked my car elsewhere in the centre, due to getting the impression my car would not be safe, close by the rear of the property.

Very modern inside and everything you need for stay. Nice welcome basket of starters Good Chinese sit in or take away 200 yards from flat and few pubs in 5 minutes walk Very central for town access

Back entrance looks shabby and wouldn’t feel safe on a dark night or in winter. Seagulls are accessing other people’s bins and throwing rubbish about.

Stay every 3 months when working in Lockerbie. Apartment is very nice and has everything you’d want, good location & host is great. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

Well equipped on the inside.

Neighbourhood was horrible. Description is rather misleading on a few accounts. There is a reason there are no images outside the flat, I’ve included the one sent privately by the host before arrival. We turned up and didn’t even bother to stay. The access was shocking (rusty metal stairs or concrete with a drop). We didn’t feel safe with a young child in this area or even transversing the stairs! The street was at the back of takeaways , covered in rubbish and generally sketchy. Also, parking wasn’t available as advertised, although we wouldn’t have left our vehicle there due to safety concerns. We ended up booking an alternative property elsewhere. Whilst I can appreciate the work which had gone into the inside of the apartment; the environment, access and misleading info ruined this for us. What a waste of money. Would not recommend.

In the heart of Dumfries the property was clean, well appointed and comfortable. Plenty of space for a couple or small family. The letting company were quick to respond to messages and very helpful.

The entrance was to the rear of the property via a small car park which was dark and full of rubbish. This was due to other properties and no fault of the management company but was rather off putting and felt unsafe at night .

We got parked almost straight outside the flat, which was brilliant. Town is literally a couple of minutes from the flat. Welcome hamper was a lovely gesture, as were the cleaning products in the kitchen and washing products in the bathroom. Would definitely stay here again if in Dumfries. Do have to say you could hear everyone passing on the street, which was okay in daytime but bit annoying at night, but guess thats what you get for being in the middle of town.

Very high quality furnishings, the small welcome pack of bread, butter, milk and some snacks was a lovely touch. Great location in town centre, very close to main shopping street.

Parking area states must have disc and only 2 hours, host advised that no restrictions. Entrance not the nicest, could do with better light for nighttime. Road at front of building was loud at night due to smokers standing outside pub, not great for the children's room.
