Location is very good

Old equipment, very loudy environment

We chose Fort Traditional Guest House primarily because of its character and location in the heart of the Old Town, knowing that it might be a little noisy. It was absolutely perfect for our needs. We are especially grateful to Marco for his responsiveness and willingness to resolve any issues quickly.

We were not surprised that there was a bit of noise in the late evening given the proximity of restaurants and cafes. We also understood that the property is not modern, nevertheless we found it very comfortable.

Location was great however was very noisy at night.didnt provide fans and was hot

Bath rooms were very old and smelly drains were very slow to drain and shower leaked

Świetna lokalizacja, wygodne łóżka, duża przestrzeń do zagospodarowania, w domu było wszystko co potrzebne na krótszy i dłuższy pobyt (pralka), dobry kontakt z właścicielem, który sprawnie odpowiadał zarówno na pytania dotyczące mieszkania jak i np. komunikacji miejskiej w Funchal.

Niektóre sprzęty mogłyby być odświeżone, podobnie jak pomieszczenia (duży salon na dole). Brakowało jakiegoś wiatraka - w ciągu dnia było bardzo gorąco. Żona trochę narzekała, że mogłoby być trochę czyściej, ale mi tam nic nie przeszkadzało. No i do domu potrafi wleźć jakieś dziwne robactwo, ale to taki klimat.

Location was fab for being in town but is directly on a road where buses, large trucks and fast bikers travel at all hours of the night which affects the front bedroom. Loved the living space to the other side of the building, beautiful sunlight and looks out onto a pleasant courtyard of restaurants. Second bedroom which backs onto this side of the property was quiet and comfortable.

It feels like its time for a new mattress and pillows and towels in the front bedroom - a really uncomfortable nights sleep in that room unfortunately. In this climate, bedrooms fans usually feel a standard addition (note they are not stated as an amenity) The kitchen had an unusual selection of utensils to use: a very used plastic chopping board, 2 wine glasses and 1 tumbler so I think this could do with being updated also - there were only 3 of us but still not all able to have matching glasses. There's a teapot (!) but nothing to make filter/standard coffee (note there is a Nespresso type machine and 3 pods were provided) The property appears to have a slight damp issue that is hidden by some lovely hats on the walls but may need addressing, along with the toilet seat and flush in the downstairs loo and the bidet that doesn't work in the upstairs bathroom (which is noted as an amenity)

Au coeur de la vie de Funchal et à deux pas de la plage. Proche de tout. Pas récent mais propre. Propriétaire réactif. Vraiment, nous avons eu un séjour très, très agréable. Ps: ne manquez pas la superbe terrasse en amont de la rue, juste après l'église.

Il n'y a pas de terrasse, comme quelques photos pourraient le suggérer. Quelques fourmis dans la cuisine.

Really good location, clean and comfortable. The host Marco was very helpful and quick to respond to any queries.

The electrics need a bit of work. Some sockets were loose and light switch in bedroom a bit dodgy. Needs a new toaster, the one in the kitchen looks a bit melted.
