Great value for money

Fantastic location in the old town. All facilities like restaurants, ATM's, supermarkets and buses nearby. Less than 10 minutes walk. Also close to the sea and cable car. The apartment is very large and well equiped. Loved the front sitting room overlookinng the street and sea. Shower, cleanliness etc. was fine despite what other reviewers said. Very good value for money. Marco the host was very helpful and responded on WhatsApp immediately to any requests.

The location in the Old Town of Funchal was perfect, and the house was big enough for 4 people and never felt crowded. It was clean and had everything we needed. Marco, our host was very kind and helpful.

The place is in the heart of the charming old part of Funchal. Only a stone's throw from the board walk, central bus depot and cable car, Fort Traditional House is ideal for exploring how fantastic Madeira is.

Good location - in the old town centre, near the funicular. It could get really noisy, there are several bars and restaurants nearby (good if you want to party). The water pressure was low and bad. But all in all it was good stay in Fort Guest House.

Location!!! Spacious and clean with an upstairs and downstairs, 2 living areas with sofas to hang out on different areas. Great for our family’s of 4 adults.

Everything was amazing just the shower pressure was very low but that is expected in an older home on an island, once we figured out to put the cold water on first to get pressure going it was much better.

The house has a great location (close to the sea and close to all touristic locations) and enough beds for a big company. All other stuff was disappointing.

The biggest disappointment was the water pressure. It is impossible to have a proper shower (there is no warm water at all) even for one person. For 4 persons it is a very quest. There is also a washing machine which is a very cool service, but it is impossible to wash something and to use water in any other place at the same time it leads to an error for the washing. The second biggest disappointment is the cleaning condition, it was unpleasant to touch anything in the dining room. The bathmat was stinky in the bathroom (probably it was never washed). Also the water in the teamaker was stinky, nobody checked it before we check in. It is also very complicated to wash a dish, there are no sponge or paper towels and no warm water as I already said. The windows in the dining room were extremely dirty and the curtains were damaged.

Amazing location, close to the center, to the cable car and to lots of restaurants besides other attractions. Very spacious and confortable also. And practical self check-in allowed us to arrive late with no problem.

A few minor maintenance issues.

We had a great time and house is super spacious. Location is absolutely superb. Very good communication with our host. We would definitely return again anytime with no hesitation. Hopefully soon.
