Very cozy house, in the old quarter of Funchal, close to everything a walking tourist needs. It has a unique atmosphere, ideal for those who are not looking for the standard world of hotels. The host was available by phone/WhatsApp and responded quickly. The market, restaurants, bus stops and coastal promenade are a few minutes' walk away. Excellent price value ratio.

"madeira is worth a visit"

location is very good. clean house. nice host

it was very warm inside. although we kept the window shutters closed the isolation is not good. some fans would have helped. in the ceiling or in the room. so because of the heat inside was difficult to have a good night rest.

"Charming location to experience Funchal and all of Madeira"

The Fort Traditional Guest House - was a perfect base for experiencing all of the wonders of Madeira. We enjoyed having two bedrooms, a kitchen to cook meals, and especially the balcony sunroom overlooking the restaurants while having a glass of wine. It was perfect for recharging after a busy day of exploring. The location was perfect in charming old town with shops and cafes right on our street and a close walk to all of the sites of Funchal. There is a paid car park just a few blocks away. Marco's communication was top notch and was always available before and during our stay.

We discussed some improvements to the beds and the host is starting to make some changes.
