Hunters Quay Holiday Village

We booked the gold pet friendly caravan with balcony for our Rottweiler and it was so spacious and very clean.

Location of caravan to main resort. Activities were fab so was the chip van.

The pool, was dull and unclean.

Lodge was very comfortable and we had wrap around decking with a secure gate which was helpful with the dog. Beds very comfortable and we slept well. Would have the kitchen in my house as it was lovely. Ate one night in the restaurant and food and staff were great. Lovely walks with the dog. Whole site very clean. Easy base to get around to visit other places. We got ferry to Isle of Bute and had a great day..

There was nothing i didnt like but just a few things that would make the experience better. I couldn't find a way to turn heating on and when I asked at reception about it, I was told I had to switch the boiler on. There were no instructions in the lodge to tell guests what to do and I didn't want to start hitting buttons. A small instruction leaflet would be handy. The windows have no safety locks on them so when you leave the window open, anyone could climb in or children could fall out (or dog jump out)! A tilt and turn window would be useful. When weather gets hot, people will want to have all the windows open and I wouldn't like to sleep with them all open.

The location was good a view of trees very pleasant and the caravan basic but good value

The charges for my 2 dogs was very expensive at £39 for each dog which cost me £78 for a 2 night stay. I think this should be advertised up front

The site was very spacious and immaculately clean, the mobile was modern, beautifully presented and we had everything needed for our stay. We enjoyed the leisure facilites, the staff were very attentive, courteous and friendly. We were surrounded by beautiful scenery and the peacefulness was fantastic.

unfortunately our meal at Hunters Grill was disappointing.
