Waterfall Farm Self-Catering Cottages Citrusdal

Unfortunately my parents, who are 80 years of age had a terrible experience. They stayed in what looked like a poorly constructed shed. To get into the bed was a mission. No hot water/shower in the shed. There were no railings to hold onto when you climb the stairs - serious safety hazard. Overall the property is run down and needs attention. My dad made a prediction that "this place is not going to be around for very long".

Beautiful scenery. Staff were so accommodating and lovely to interact with.

The setting perfect. The waterfall area and poola beautiful. The setting could be very good without ticks. Rustic cabin ok, bed too high up. Staff especially Miriam friendly.

Too many ticks after the walk to the waterfall, at night also found about 6 ticks on myself. The rustic cabin with the outside composting toilet not comfortable, the bed too high, difficult to climb down during the night. No propper coverings in front of windows for privacy during evening. Even if door is locked at night I found the extra key the next morning under a rock in potplant on the stoep. Also a bit of a mixup to found the place, long story part my fault. Never got the wifi code from the staff.

Situated in an organic citrus farm. Guide was lovely and very knowledgeable.

Don’t feel it was advertised properly. Bathroom facilities were not good. Amenities were very poor.

Peace, waterfall , great view ,, good bedding , friendly staff and farm animals, pleasant walks, cozy fireplace. . Warm cozy house on a cold night. Fruit in orchards, nice patio

Bathroom in Weavers Nest not fully functional and quality of ablutions are not in sync with price. Kitchen was also not as described on the website. We have addressed this with the hosts. They were very apologetic and have indicated that they will sort things out. Also offered us a discount if we visited again. We generally prefer to go to new places. Looks like a laid back spot for a summer party with friends. Not all doors lock well.
