Waterfall Farm Self-Catering Cottages Citrusdal

Beautiful setting and simplicity. Warm and Cosy little A frame. Nice hot shower. Stunning outlook onto the dam and beyond the rocks and mountains in the distance. Easy walk to the most amazing waterfall and pool.

The inverter that runs the little fridge and light is pretty irritating in that it beeps when the batteries are running low . Perhaps the panels need extension 🤔

We had an amazing time at Waterfall farm. The cottage itself is fairly rustic but has everything you need, lovely bathtub, porch with stunning sunset views and we had a great time barbecuing each night. The true star of the property is the natural waterfalls / rivers, absolutely stunning!

Facilities were in a poor state, especially the bathroom. Bath was broken / rusted in places and had no shower..only hand held shower. Cottage needed a paint as all the walls were dirty. Cobwebs and spiders in all the corners, under the tables. No couch, only a hard mattress- like seat with animal covers and pillows on the floor. Plunge pool interior paint was peeling and insufficient exterior lighting at night, no light at the braai, which was a distance from the cottage. No proper coffee mugs and fridge did not keep our goods cold. The shop advertised had nothing, you could not buy bread, milk and other necessities. The pictures on the website were misleading and it was not worth the amount spent. We are seasoned travellers and this place was highly overrated. At more than R3100 per night, we expected more.

We had a lovely stay at this property! The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the peaceful atmosphere—helped by the absence of a TV—made it the perfect spot to unwind. We especially enjoyed the outdoor spaces and the pool, which added to the relaxing vibe. The only minor downside was the Wi-Fi, which was a bit slow at times. But if you're looking to disconnect and enjoy a break from constant screens, it’s actually a bonus!

The farm is serene, quiet and the waterfall is absolutely beautiful.

The place was incredibly dusty. Tidy but looked as if the mat and surfaces hasn't been cleaned in a long time. My partner actually got very sick as he is very allergic to dust.

Amazing get-away. Only a 2 hour drive from Cape Town. The little farm house was a pleasure, but the view was simply incredible. The real star of the show was the waterfall in short walking distance from the house. Beautiful and private.

Stunning location. We loved walking to the waterfall and spending time in nature.
