Great location, comfortable bedroom and facilities

Breakfast was not included. We decided to stay here an extra night, making it three in total, mainly because the location was suitable as we’d become familiar with the bus routes. We were able to utilise the kitchen facilities. We only had to take the 66 Steps once a day.

We struggled with the 66 steps up tour room, especially with our luggage on arrival. We saw no staff members and it was difficult to make contact with them, although we did eventually get a response to our request for an extra night.

Breakfast was not included so not applicable. The location was ok as we were able to use the buses to and from our visits to the Historic Dockyards.

We were unprepared for the many steps, (66) to our room. The initial description of the room on the website indicated there was a bathroom in the room. Upon booking we realised the bathroom was a shared one in the hallway.

It's really a great that there are kitchen facilities on the top floor. We were grateful that we could microwave an evening meal and make our own toast and coffee etc for our breakfasts, sitting at the breakfast bar. Our room and everything in it was clean and fresh, with a comfortable bed. The bathrooms, kitchen, and sitting areas always smelled clean and fresh. The shower in the larger bathroom was of a very good standard.

The sound quality of the room TV was quite poor, so was hard to enjoy any viewing. Our room was one with a sea view, but the sea is actually a bit of a distance away and is partially masked but the trees in the park (probably grown considerably over the years).
