A Bit Industrial old Environment in the Backyard Kitchen environment frquented highly and crowded

The location was handy.

The room stank of stale smoke, i aired the room out for hours and it didn't make a difference. The rooms are on the upstairs level of the property and I feltbtheir was long term residents living in the ground level of the house. So the smells were travelling up from ground level. You could only contact the hosts through messages and you had to let yourself into the property. You also have to send a copy of your ID and an extra security deposit before you can get the key code of the key box. I wasnt comfortable sending my ID to someone who I have never met. It also took 2weeks before the security deposit money was returned.

Very convenient location. Great kitchen facilities and very safe and secure. Plenty of space and carparking was included

Location. Communal kitchen. Containers for fridge with room numbers on them. Dishwasher in kitchen. Great en-suite in bedroom.

Room 1- Awful awful mattress which hasn’t been replaced despite multiple other negative reviews. Soft, bouncy & springs. Smell of room & mattress was musty like old carpet & cigarettes. Handprints on walls which haven’t been cleaned off since our last stay. Dated furniture. Curtains old & musty & dirty. Whole room needs a revamp. Light & fan in en-suite clicks on & off during night. Only 1 pillow per person isn’t enough. Cushion on bed has stains & smelly. Actual bedding was clean. Permanent residents in the flat below are noisy at all times of day & especially at night with slamming of doors & loud music. Carpets in communal hall needs hoovered. Friends staying in different rooms tend to congregate in kitchen & can be noisy.

Perfect base to access all amenities in Newcastle and Castlewellan and beyond. Room very comfortable and clean, I stayed a Saturday and Sunday night, both were quiet evenings thankfully. Underfloor heating was appreciated in the shower room, plenty of clean towels and hangers for clothes.

Mould in the silicone in the shower tray and the curtains were looking damaged
