Fulwood guest house

The property itself is fine. A large house which could be really beautiful (but isn’t)

It was unfinished with bare plaster and paint lines in places. The bed slats were in part nailed to the bed frame and in part just dangling into the bed space (I checked after realising that sitting on the edge of the bed as I was getting ready, was uncomfortable) and the shower was so mouldy and dirty that I felt cleaner by not having one. On top of this it’s impossible to find. The buildings on the correct street go 144/146/148/152 (and you’re looking for 150). Around the corner on a different street is a nondescript door with no name or building number and this is the right number. The own came out from the shop with one of the higher numbers on to ask if I was looking for the guest house and I said ‘yes. This must happen all the time’ and he said “yes it does”. It was a cheap room. I didn’t expect more than a functional bed and a shower. I didn’t get those.

Comfortable stay, good sized room, great location,

No tea/ coffee making facilities in the room, so 1st thing in the morning without a brew wasn't great.
