York Minster Garden

Great location. Property had character. Whilst being centrally located, it was peaceful. Lovely garden. Kitchen reasonably well equipped.

Found bed uncomfortable. Mattress too lumpy. Previous reviews commented on how short the bed was. Whilst the bed has apparently been lengthened (4 inches), the mattress hasn’t. I’m not that tall but found bed too short. Duvet was far too heavy and uncomfortable. Couldn’t open some windows because had been painted over; could be easily fixed. The locks on some windows seem to have been broken.

Clean and very comfortable

Location was amazing - right next to the towering York Minster which is visible from the private garden terrace. In the daytime the square outside is busy with tourists but the moment you step through the doorway to a passage which leads to the property it feels peaceful and private. It’s so central you are next to everything - shops, bars, restaurants, activities.

It’s a little bit worn inside - living room was immaculate but bathroom and bedroom could have done with a lick of paint. The garden was a bonus but when we went, it was a bit overgrown, grass not mowed (tbf it was 1st June so just at the start of summer season)

The location was perfect and it was lovely and warm

The only issue was the Bed very comfortable, but my husband is 6 feet bed is too short

The bed was to small and and very creaky when move around in sleep got bad pain in my side being 6ft 2. Was cramped.up which is a shame
