Good location between two beaches

There is no staff at the premises

Good location in a quiet side street, less than 10 minute walk to beaches. Generous sized ground floor apartment with basic decor. Good written instructions for local services and owner available on Whatapp answered very quickly.

Advertised with AC extra but only one room has this. Bathroom is not ventilated and hot.

Kumudu Holiday Home was a in a great location only a few minutes walk to Hiriketiya and Dickwell Beach. The room was large, spacious and had plenty of natural light. The Air con and fan kept the room very cool even in the extreme heat and humidity. The host was very warm and welcoming, and were happy to help with any issues during our stay and organised our transport back to Colombo. The homes in close proximity to MOND cafe and Bacuzzi pizza which offered delicious food and coffee.

Veggdyr i to av sengene dessverre! Vår datter på 3 år ble spist opp. Skjønner at det kan skjer når man har så mange gjester innom! Vi har reist rundt i to måneder på Sri Lanka og det var første gangen vi opplevde det! Dessverre tok ikke verten det seriøst og mente det var noe annet dyr når det var solskinnsdager ( noe det omtrent er hele året)

Not clear that there was additional $15 per day payment requested to use 1x aircon unit in the whole apartment. This 1 unit was in one of the bedrooms so would not have cooked the whole place even if we paid it. The apartment does not look like the photos, they have been heavily filtered to make it look edgy, however in real life it’s just concrete that looks half finished. No mosquito nets over windows so expect them everywhere! Very weak stand fans provided. Hit or miss which ceiling fans in the apartment are strong.

We stayed in the upstairs villa. The view was great and the room was light, bright and clean with good air con. Balcony was lovely although the monkeys which jump onto it made it difficult to use for any drinks and food. Beds comfortable. Fridge in room, good shower and there were good quality beach and shower towels provided. Fantastic location between Hiriketiya and Dickwella beach.

Monkeys a bit of a pest. Dog noise at night but that is everywhere. We booked the downstairs villa at the same time for our adult children but it was double booked so they couldn’t stay there. This was caused by booking.com double booking. Would be good if they provided more water.
