a sign for the Bothy would help find it ... we were a bit lost before we made a call. I was ready for the rustic accommodation whereas my friend isnt used to camping even... she enjoyed the whole experience. x We both considered what the path to the bothy would be like when wet but John mentioned this .... ongoing plan.

GBGBUSWe like the authentic feel of staying in the Bothy. We felt that we learned a little of what it might have been like to live on the isle a century ago. It was interesting to learn about Jackie’s family history as it related to the Croft and the island. It was also interesting to see Jackie’s loom and to learn about weaving for Harris Tweed.
There is a short walk from the parking area to the Bothy which normally wouldn’t be an issue but with all the rain this summer it was a little inconvenient because of the wet grass.
GBGBWas amazing to stay in an old blackhouse which has been made soo cozy inside. Situated right on the edge of the Atlantic, the sunsets were spectacular and the environment incredibly peaceful. The host was lovely and had thought of everything you could need - including private use of a warm shower in the main house which we very much appreciated!
