Sukoon River Homestay

Loved how the family was open for contact and was always willing to help you. They invited me to spend holi with them, i did! Such a warm and welcoming family. It is just 5 min walk from the Marnikanika and other spots. Its in the narrow streets of Banares so getting there will be like 10 minutes from the main road. My airco got broken down because of the monkey ate from the electricity, he instantly gave me another room since it was available.

Sometimes it was hard to find some food in the direct area, so there are no options next door. Also during holi some shops and food options were closed. Good thing is, the mother can cook well and you can just order the food from the house.

Very nice homely experience by host Shubham. Helped a lot in guiding the location and providing best hospitality. Location is very near to ghat and Kashi Vishwanath temple and one of best experience of living in banaras galiyan.

Die Lage der Unterkunft ist in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Ganges. Auch die Sauberkeit des Zimmers und Badezimmers ist positiv hervorzuheben. Wenn man ein real Varanasi Erlebnis möchte, dann ist man hier richtig. Auch muss einem Bewusstsein, dass man bei einer Familie wohnt.

Die Lage ist zwar nahe zum Ganges, jedoch ist diese Gegend eine der schlechtesten und nicht im Tourist:innenviertel, auch Restaurants sind weiter entfernt. Das Zimmer ist deutlich kleiner als von den Fotos erwartet, und das Bad ist abgetrennt zum Zimmer, man muss auf den Gang hinaus. Auf Grund der Größe ist es nachts sehr heiß und stickig im Zimmer. In der zweiten Nacht ging kein Wasser im Badezimmer. Wir hatten die Bootstour von dem Homestay aus gebucht. Hierbei war es von der Zeit sehr unflexibel und wir konnten nicht vor Sonnenaufgang starten. Als wir dann dort waren, der Vermieter brachte uns zum Boot, war der Bootmann nicht da und die anderen Männer wollten uns nicht mitnehmen, da unsere Freunde vorher die bootstour bei ihnen abgelehnt hatten. Da wir ja bereits die Tour über den Vermieter gebucht und bezahlt hatten. Nach langer Diskussion wurden wir dann doch mitgenommen. Von diesem Erlebnis hat uns der Vermieter nicht mehr angesehen, wir sind froh dass dies schon der letzte Tag war.

Skvělá lokalita, domácký přístup, možnost domácí kuchyně a nápomocný hostitel. Potěšilo nás i seznámení s pejskem hostitele. Absolvovali jsme také tour po městě s výkladem, výklad byl profesionální. Využili jsme i možnost výjezdu na řeku soukromou lodí, domluva jasná a hladká.

Málo úložných prostor v pokoji. Hodilo by se například více háčků na stěnách i v koupelně.

Alojamiento bien situado, lugar perfecto para hospedarse unos días. Shubham te hará sentir en casa. La comida casera es espectacular y a un precio muy asequible. Además, la terraza que tienen en la parte de arriba tiene unas vistas espectaculares.

I had a fantastic time at Sukoon River Homestay! The place was centrally located, a short walk from all the sites. There is a beautiful rooftop terrace and the room is comfortable with AC which makes for a nice reprieve from the heat. The food was also very delicious. The service was exceptional with all my needs met, making my trip stress free and enjoyable! I would highly recommend the property to anyone looking for a special place for their trip to Varanasi.

Maison d’hôte familiale très agréable, tenue par des hôtes vraiment gentils et toujours prêts à rendre service. La maison est située dans des ruelles très calmes. Les chambres sont très propres et bien équipées (climatisation, douche, ventilateur, tout fonctionne correctement) et les repas sont savoureux. La terrasse offre une jolie vue sur le Gange, ce qui rend le séjour encore plus agréable. Un petit plus très apprécié : notre hôte nous a conté quelques légendes hindouistes locales et partagé une liste des sites à visiter dans les environs, ce qui a rendu notre découverte de la ville encore plus riche.

Petit bémol : le wifi ne fonctionnait pas bien et certains services supplémentaires proposés (taxi, monnaie change…) sont un peu chers. Le propriétaire insiste pour que les clients laissent un avis et le notent très bien, ce qui peut être un peu insistant.
