The Marlborough House

Great little place if you are just looking for an affordable place to sleep. We were exploring the city and as a family of 5 couldn’t afford anything fancy but Marlborough House had everything we needed. Fifteen minute drive to town centre and having the use of the kitchen also saved us money on meals/ breakfast. Needed help with the TV and the owner responded straight away. For the price it was great. Nice complimentary basket of biscuits and crisps which we appreciated!

Squeaky beds, no forks in the kitchen, no toaster but we managed on the grill.

Room was clean and secure, nice to have crisps and biscuits when we arrived. TV was good. Location was quiet.

Only one pillow each on double bed. There was no hot water tap, had to turn on a little shower type thing which sprinkled out and pressure was poor on cold water tap. Toilet flush got stuck had to unstick.

The Marlborough House was really clean, properly done up with a welcome hall/ entrance. The staff was really helpful, sending the required information ahead of our arrival. We were able to get through to him when we called, unlike some hosts. There was good heating clean linens and clean towels. We couldn't fault anything

Clean, basic accommodation, perfect for Anfield and buses to centre, Owner accommodated an early check-in request which was very much appreciated

No towels in ensuite bathroom

Room big enough for the 4 or us.

Beds were creaky and could feel the springs in the bed. Pillows were hard.

Wasn't expensive

Was cold, basic, and when asked (emailed)for a heater, was told no.
