Fabulous property, great staff, nice facilities as part of the hotel

Wish they had more vegan food options

The Staff were amazing. Anusha from front office welcomed us as we checked was a lovely host. Nishantha and his team from housekeeping were equally fantastic. The place is so cozy and warm. The food was nice too. We had the breakfast buffet at the hotel restaurant and a few meals at the Sackville bar & restaurant. Both were of good quality. The waiting staff were great in both places. Altogether an awesome experience. Planning to head there again in December.

The Clovelly Bungalow dates back to 1835 but is in the grounds of the 5* luxury resort, the Golden Ridge. So you have the best of both worlds: stay in colonial era accommodation and bring back the vibes of when tea was first planted in Sri Lanka, but have three different eating options, two great bars, an incredible swimming pool (the views!), a gym and a spa. For a family, the rooms themselves are a little small, but have everything you need, and you also have access to two drawing rooms to relax in, including one with an open fire for those winter evenings. Should you be lucky enough to have the bungalow to yourself, then you'll have all the space you need. And look out for Manola in the main dining room, one of the loveliest, friendliest and most passioate young waiters you could ever meet: brilliant English and so engaging with guests - he's an incredible asset to the Golden Ridge team.

Absolutely nothing. The hotel is ideally situated for exploring the area around Nuwara Eliya, and the blend between colonial and modern is amazing. Just a great place to stay, to have fulsome days and then come back and relax.

The hotel is located in beautiful surrounding atmosphere. The Room was clean, nice and spacious. Breakfast offered with a wide variety of food, the staff were very helpful and friendly. And very important thing which wasn’t clear when we booked but it was good to have is that “The Clovelly Bungalow” is part of big hotel ( The Golden Ridge) and you can have access to all the hotel facilities

Bungalow is nice though overshadowed by tall glass chrome modern hotel. Well maintained

Hardly anyone was having food & drinks as it’s prohibitively expensive. Heated swimming pool wasn’t lukewarm. Shower is two flights below the pool floor. Very odd
