The Clovelly Bungalow

The bungalow is nicely positioned with good views. Highly recommend Lovers Leap walk, coming back through the tea plantations.

The bungalow is part of a bigger more modern hotel, and as such has a less individual feel than expected. Dining is in a typical big hotel buffet style. Food was good but not our preference in terms of feel. However this appears to be more typical of Nuwara Eliya.

Location and historical background. It is set in the grounds of a fantastic hotel of which visitors can use their facilities

The staff and management are outstanding and when my husband needed a doctor and hospitalisation the professionalism was exemplary. Thank you

Clovelly Bungalow has a few rooms, however the use of the lounge and private garden makes you feel if it’s your unique historic home

Everything was perfect. Great location with a view. Good breakfast at their hotel.

Clovelly bungalow turned out to be part of a large hotel although separate. So we had access to two good restrooms and beautiful heated pool

A beautiful heritage property with a history. Comfortable 4 poster bed. Buffet breakfast had an extensive choice. Staff were friendly and helpful. Spot is scenic.

The fact that it is now run by the The Golden Ridge Hotel and that the access to the bungalow is through the hotel was not clearly communicated. And so we had to go around in circles a few times before we found the place. Unfortunately the views on the website don't tell you that the bungalow is surrounded by high rise buildings belonging to the main hotel. We were in the Premium King. On arrival the toilet that had been used by someone was still dirty and housekeeping had to be rushed in to clean it. Not a good feel. A double jacuzzi takes up almost the whole bathroom space and looked like that too could do with a good clean. The shower cubicle in such a large bathroom is very cramped and water flows out of it. Needs attention.

the room was is a charming old house but we can enjoy the facility of the hotel near by Food is excellent. We enjoyed the recreation building swimming pool/massage/kids corner

Fact that it was part of a big hotel. Photos are utterly deceptive. You find yourselves looking at a 10 meter high roof blocking g the view.
