I arrived on 28 May and was only informed upon arrival that the property had been without running water since 24 May. This critical issue was not disclosed before check-in. I was told my only options were to cancel or stay and pay, despite there being no comparable accommodation available nearby. I therefore felt compelled to stay and pay simply to have somewhere to sleep. The property was not as advertised and was not reasonably habitable. The lack of running water meant no functioning toilets and no showers in temperatures of around 38°C with 90% humidity. During the night, rain also leaked through the roof and ceiling near the bed. Additional concerns included: • Inadequate room cooling and ineffective ceiling fan. • Ineffective mosquito nets because they did not close properly. • Dirty pool with slimy tiles, damaged edges, and an unsafe light fitting. • No management presence and limited bar facilities due to staff being on holiday. Given the undisclosed lack of water, absence of toilet and shower facilities, roof leaks, and the other deficiencies, I believe a full refund is fully justified. Despite these serious issues, Booking.com has advised that it has been unable to negotiate a full refund with the property and I am very unhappy.

The staff were incredibly helpful and the food was delicious. The villas were gorgeous. So close to the orangutan sanctuary and they will drive you for very cheap!

Beautiful spacios chalets in a well kept garden with a nice pool area and a good restaurant. The staff is very nice and helpful.

Still in walking distance to Sepilok and the Sunbear center, but a little further than the other places.

10/10 experience, employees were the sweetest and super helpful! Would come again anytime!

Food is not so good. Breakfast could be better.

The individual cabins were lovely and the staff were so helpful. The showers were great.

Great location for Rainforest Discovery Centte and Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary

Was quite rustic but authentic so little concerned about bugs etc as lots of open crevices in room but accepted we were in Borneo near the rainforest!
