JOIVY Lovely Flats near the City Centre

Location was good and apartment was nice.

The front door lock was hard to use. The screws holding the lock in place were missing, allowing the mechanism to move while you were trying to unlock/lock the door. Booked 2 twins in 2nd bedroom and got a 1 full bed. This was unexpected. It was difficult to work around. Bedroom windows need room darkening shades since the street light is right outside the window.

Location near city center. Quiet side street. Private parking. Good information supplied for arrival and staying.

Lack of cutlery. Very small dining table, just a drinks table really.

Everything. We were a bit scared because the reviews were not the best, but we were very surprised and satisfied with what we got. Comfy beds, huge washroom, nice living room, and well-equipped kitchen. We had hot water and heating working all day.

The heating timer was not accurate, had to switch it to manual several times, but then everything worked just fine.

Great location and apartment had a lot of space.

Entrance stair carpet looked old and dirty and shower was quite snug.

You can park a car easily if it’s tiny.

Clearly used repeatedly and without much care and attention in between guests. The comments all state the same things which shows the owner doesn’t care at all about improving standards, nor does the agent, but both will pay lip service to such comments. If you expect to stay in university style student accommodation, your expectations will be met. Sofas are dirty, the whole place smells, the car parking spaces are unsuitable for modern wide cars, there’s trash everywhere outside including in the parking area (carpets, old bed headboards, discarded belongings), the laminated floor is sticky and unclean, sinks are often blocked.

Comfortable apartment in a nice and safe neighborhood. It was pretty quiet and with great wifi. It was about 15 minutes from the castle on foot. We did not use any taxi or public transportation, we just walked from there.

The room was not clean. In the bathroom, the sink was not working properly. Every time we used water in the sink, it took 10 mins to go down. The towels did not seem clean. We found hair in the bathtub and the floor was not clean. The sofas had stains on them. The discussion with the employees about fixing the sink and cleaning the apartment did not help at all. We just lived with these issues.
