Ivy Cottage Ahangama

Great property, it is quite fresh and new. The room and bathroom are spacious, staff were very laid back and helpful at the same time. Charming little cottage just abit inland but close. All the stuff is quite new and the tub is such a nice addition with the hot water. They gave us the room next to the caretakers room, you could literally here his phone buzzing all night and him talking, didn't really care too much but it shouldn't happen in a property such as this. So don't take that room!

Our stay was really nice and comfortable at Ivy Cottage. The location is perfect, walking distance from Kabalana beach and on a nice road. There's space to park if you need to onsite. The room is spacious and really clean, lots of lighting options and great big bathroom with bathtub and hot shower. The wifi is good too. We slept really comfortably every night and generally had a super comfy stay. The kind guys working there are available for communication pretty much 24/7 & they are keen to make the stay comfortable! Laundry was easy to sort and also a room refresh. Breakfast is really delicious & they are flexible to meet your needs & timings. Highly reccomend!

The flies outside are annoying but I that's just outside dining issues! Nothing to put off a stay here.

In Sri Lanka, almost everywhere there is no separation between the shower and the rest of the bathroom so the floor is wet most of the time. Making the room a bit humid and shady, not enough windows… They should provide a wiper after showering. No place to hang clothes at all. No warm sheets when air con is on.. You can hear motorbike from the street as it located close to it.

No patio (varandah to come out and sit basically ) .If you gonna stay inside room or roam and come for a comfortable sleep this is the best place.Shower room is so comfortable .
