Batur Volcano Basecamp

Very friendly host, marvelous local breakfast, spacious rooms, hot tubs with the nice view! It feels very authentic and welcoming.

Only thank it is quite far from everything and if you don’t have your own transport it might be a problem to find a taxi here, it is better to arrange and buy everything you might need in advance. And also flies: having romantic dinner in the patio can be annoying a little. If you don’t have food it is fine.

Wonderful homestay managed by lovely people. We had a really nice stay there and enjoyed the hot springs in front of our room. The owners offer you tours to Mount Batur for sunrise but also for daytime if you want.

One downside is the location. It has a great view but to go to the lake or for dinner you have to walk 20 min along a dusty road. But if you ask the owner he will took you with his car to a resto near by! Also almost unusable water in the sink due to low water pressure and temperature adjustment in the shower was difficult.

3 beautiful little cottages with large beds. For the price and as a base for Mt Batur tour it was perfect! The hot volcano thermal pools are great 👍. The owner Kadek ist very nice and serves fresh fruit from his garden.

No sink in the bathroom, the shower is without separation and with little water pressure.

Beautiful views of the lake and mountain. The hot water pools were so relaxing. Rooms were simple but had all the necessities. Fantastic value for money.

Not as peaceful as the surrounding nature would imply, we could hear a lot of noise from neighbours. The bathroom was a bit dirty with soap scum and mould.

I received a warm greeting from my very hospitable host. Jepun Bali is well positioned to enjoy a tranquil and very special view of the lake. The garden is very pleasant, it has a pool with lovely warm water to soak in. My room was clean and comfortable and I slept with the company of sweet dreams. Unfortunately my stay was for only one night, I would have liked to stay longer. Terima kasih to my host for giving me good memories and an experience of Balinese hospitality and kindness. You shall be forever in my thoughts and heart, and I hope we meet again. 🙏

This is a fantastic little property. There's only three rooms here, and they're all in separate buildings. The room is quite large. There is a natural hot spring on site, so you don't have to leave and spend money on overpriced, overcrowded pools. The king-sized bed was super comfy. The staff will go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable and happy. The wifi was strong, and the view from the property (of both the lake and Batur) was amazing. You're in real Batur country living here with few services around, so come to enjoy the quiet (minutes the rooster) and solitude.

The bathroom could use a little attention. There's no sink, and the shower had minimal water pressure. That being said, I still loved it here and wanted to stay one not night but couldn't because they were booked.

The owners are super friendly! We got free fruits, the breakfast was delicious (nasi goreng) and there is free tea/coffee/water. Got offered some inscents to get rid of flies during breakfast. Highlight are of course the hot tubs that are available anytime :) location is great to hike Mt. Batur. It's a simple room, perfect prize-valve!
