The room was modern and clean with an excellent bathroom and shower. The staff were friendly and helpful. They allowed us to store our bicycles in the room and the normal area was being used for workmen undertaking improvements to the hotel. The breakfast was excellent as well. The rather good Loch Leven brewery is just across the road too...

Nothing, no complaints at all!

They moved me to alternative accommodation so I didn’t get to stay but on seeing the property I think that was a good thing!

The day before I was due to stay in the hotel I recieved a message saying I ‘ may have seen on our recent reviews we have been affected by a cut pipe in the village which has affected a large portion of the property’ and I was being moved to another hotel and provided the location- not the name, just the location, I had to ask them to tell me the name! (I had never been to the area so had no idea what hotels where were) It turned out I had been moved to a travel lodge. That was fine, then I found out in a travel lodge you need to pay for wifi- which had been included as an amenity in my original booking. I did a bit of digging when I was in the village and nobody seemed to know about any cut pipe affecting water supplies and, strangely, Scottish Water didn’t have it as an issue. This, along with the fact the hotel thought I would know from reviews leaves me suspicious about the water pipe story.

The light to bathroom stopped working in the morning and I had to shower in the dark. Also, the pillows were too soft and flat. No support, which affected sleep.

Bright breakfast room overlooking a tired uncut grassed courtyard. Friendly staff, however we mentioned the sugar on the tables was left uncovered over night. Choice off food was limited but good standard. We did get one nights refund from the hotel. I have emailed to say we couldnt have a shower on the second morning either.Awaiting their reply.

Problem with no water on our arrival, no one explained this to us. Water was just warm enough by 1pm the next day, this was too late for us to shower, as our event was starting at 1.30. Again the next morning only luke warm water, so no shower.Tired courtyard grass un cut. Sugar left uncovered over night on breakfast tables.

The staff really made this stay. Staff were incredibly kind, helpful and couldn’t have done more. The room was pleasant but facilities were a little lacking.

I was disappointed not to be notified of the live music event which was happening during my stay, as it was right next to my room it meant I had a poor sleep. The bathroom fan was quite dirty. I also left the notice on the door for the room to be made up and unfortunately that didn’t happen. The furniture still had stickers on it. There was no full length mirror in the room but rather a small handheld mirror.

The hotel is having a refurbishment and the room we had was large clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful

Not much choice in bar menu for vegetarian or breakfast but did not mind as they are making improvements
