Some of the staff were very pleasant and tried to be helpful

Some of the stuff were rude and uncaring. A very loud noise of a Boiler kept us awake all night, there was no running water in the morning., nobody was prepared to do anything about it.

Updating and more relaxed environment

Breakfast provided was fine but they kept running out of things. Location of hotel good, with car park, close to town. Food in the bar was good and service very quick.

Hotel in middle of refurb. Bedroom had been updated with new bathroom but just not quite there yet. Curtains and pictures required to finish it off. Corridors needed redecorating. Toilets in public areas needed lots of work. No restaurant available yet.

The food in the bar was good and well priced. Staff helpful. Parts of hotel had been updated. Dog friendly.

Our room hadn't been cleaned by 5pm on the day of our arrival. Teenagers running in and out of the reception/foyer as a way to pass time - very annoying when sitting in the area and trying to relax and have a conversation. Staff initially didn't take note of my request for a gluten free meal and left croutons on chicken caeser salad. It was taken back and replaced.

Convenient for concerts being held at the hotel. Refurbishment when finished will be good.

We had dinner in the Restaurant, Food was brilliant, Staff were so friendly and attentive, There was a lovely Bar at the back with a Live music venue, Cosy and the band joined in the bar too, Very relaxed

Nothing to say, a lot of refurbishment going on but I believe this will only improve the Hotel experience when it is completed

We were given one of the recently refurbished rooms and it was gorgeous.

Nothing really. A bell would be handy at reception to let staff know you're there.

Lovely big room and fresh deccor, modern bathroom. Staff throughout the hotel were all very friendly and welcoming. Our evening meal was very tasty and good value for money and breakfast although a little on the cool side (but we did leave it till near the end of service) was very tasty. My daughter rated it as the best hotel breakfast she has had, knocking her top place hotel we stay im regularly from that spot.

Obviously they are currently updating the hotel and we did find the smell of fresh paint in the corridor outside our room pretty strong, not as strong in our room, but still pretty noticeable.
