Matinloc Island Resort

The location is fantastic, we stayed in a mountain villa with a stunning view. The villa blends with the surrounding nature and is very quiet, I had the best sleep. The room is clean and equipped with complimentary water and amenities. The staff is amazing, friendly and attentive. The menu offers local and international dishes and the portions are satisfying. The beach is clean and the water is crystal clear, it is like swimming in an aquarium. You can also get a complimentary kayak and paddle to a nearby sand bank and feel like you are alone on the island. Beautiful...

I am really impressed with the staff. Special mention of Nino and his tour crew, Sheila at the front desk, who goes out of her way to accommodate us on our needs, Abigail and Ryan at the dining room who's been very helpful while we dine, and last but not least, Ruby who goes up and down 99 steps to help 4 seniors at room 206 😃😃😃 I would rate these staffs 10 out of 10.

We were 4 seniors and was not given an option to either upgrade to a better accommodation instead of the 99 steps up, even though there were available units that's more suitable for 4 seniors. Although it was my mistake not understanding that the accommodation I booked was a very steep climb to the room, I was hoping that they could have given us a chance for an upgrade to a room comfortable enough for 4 seniors.

The environment is so beautiful. Friendly Staff and anticipated to assist my needs. Speed boat Ride was fun. The accommodation is very good 👍😊 and one of the Owner is very accomodating.I hope to hear back from them. The plate food preparation is nice. The food served taste good.

The food prices are high and drinking bottled water.. There's no elevator going to my room and I have to walk 99 steps to get there although it's a good exercise on the top most view but it is also tiresome to go back and forth No Gcash payment accepted.

1 no 🥃 alchohol 2 99 stepst to our room . Were willing to downgade us only with no return of difference in price . 3 shutters dont close so wake you up early

It’s not ultra modern but they have all the amenities of a 5 star hotel but mostly the place is enchanted

None at all. It’s perfect in my opinion. Have a cup of coffee and just enjoy the view of the ocean.

Amazing resort. The people giving negative reviews are clearly spoilt and entitled! The location is perfect on a private island beach with crystal clear water and great snorkelling. You have access to kayaks and snorkels and can paddle round to a stunning sandbar. The pool has the best view of any pool I’ve ever been in. The staff are lovely and service is outstanding. The room was large, clean and comfortable with a great shower.

The only room for improvement is the restaurant as it is expensive and the food wasn’t great and quite slow. Small price to pay for such an amazing location though. Also if you are planning on island hopping tours I’d recommend staying somewhere in Le Nido separately and going from there as it is a lot more expensive going from the resort.
