Very helpful and attentive stuff, great unique location, good food. Rooms are great, view from the balcony is exceptional

During our stay there was a renovation /construction going in the hotel. No one told us about it, no information about it was available on Booking or during communication. The noise and paint smell severly disturbed the nature vibe, tranquility and calmness. When I addressed my concerns about that to the stuff they told that they would talk to construction workers to stay quiet while we are in the pool area, but frankly it didn't have any effect. When I addressed the issue again and told that it makes our experience there compromised and Id expect some kind of acknowledge and maybe complimentary something from the hotel to compensate, they told that they would check - and never came back to me on this issue. So overall - disappointing given the level of the hotel and price tag

Everything about it was PERFECT! The location, the beach, the room, THE STAFF, and just overall. We really enjoyed our time at Matinloc Island Resort! The only thing we wanted was a quiet weekend to rest, relax, and recharge. We got that and then some more!

Just a minor misunderstanding about doing the tour. It was only just us the entire time and there was no other option than to do the private tour instead of the more economical option of joining a group tour. We booked a tour instead with Booking and found out later on that doing this was not allowed, as it is a private island. I understood why, but we literally learned about it on the day of our tour. Anyway, it wasn’t a bad experience or anything. Just need to be communicated clearly and have a better options ready for guests.

Beach was great. Sea activities and tours as well.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner at the resort restaurant (only one) offered menu with limited choice. And no alcohol. Enough if staying 1 day or 2. But staying 6 nights (as in our case) was clearly insufficient. For instance, would have loved having a buffet, at least for breakfast. Probably not feasible for insufficient number of guests (low seasons).

Excellent service, excellent location - great stay. Equipement was good and access to beach activities as well. SPA services was really professional.

We loved the exclusivity of the location with the private beach with wire sand, crystal clear water and large corals with a lot of colorful fishes. The size of the villa at the beach was really spacious and we loved the architecture and interior of it. It even contained a jacuzzi! Staff was very friendly and very helpful. Resort was kept very clean. Food at the restaurant was excellent. The resort is really outstanding and very exclusive.

It was possible to eat in the restaurant or have in room dining. The dishes were always cooked fresh and really delicious. I could understand that it takes an extraordinary effort to offer a service in such high quality. Compared to El Nido Town, price for the food were extremely high for Philippines, even in other 5 star hotels with an outstanding kitchen, we paid only a fraction of it. But to be fair, menus were always fresh and the portions were large, most of the time we had to share to be ablenke to finish them. The villas at the beach are only for two people, but for a additional fee an extra bed can be added. Since the villa itself is luxurious and the location is exclusive we were willing to pay for it, but to charge php5500 for an additional folding bed a day for a third person/kid, we found it a bit much.

The welcome experience was nice, as well as the view and the water.

- All of us came back with a cold. I believe the aircon was not clean. The mosquito bites turned out with an infection at bite area - looked pretty bad on our kid. Very big mosquito problems when we were there. - We took the Kayaks on a long trip and were asked to be back by a certain time (which was before sunset). I think they should just give people freedom and let them take the Kayaks as long as they want. - Especially if they want to watch the sunset - Food order took way too long. There weren't many guest so that was strange. - There was no entertainment - They should have some sort of entertainment there, like fire dances or life music etc..

The location offers stunning, panoramic views, especially during sunrise—an absolutely breathtaking experience! I also appreciate the sense of privacy; with only a few guests on the island, the staff is able to provide personalized and attentive service, making our stay feel truly exclusive and indulgent.

There was nothing I didn't like about the property. While we had to climb 99 steps to reach our room, we were informed about this in advance, and it added to the overall experience.

Food and service were excellent, all the staff go above and beyond to make your stay more pleasurable.

Not the Resorts fault but I wished the weather would have been more cooperative.

Everything was so good. The staff was very kind and welcomed us warmly. It was great to stay in a private and wonderful natural environment.
