Well looked after and had lots of great little touches.

The weather

We were extremely pleased with the apartment! It was spotless and super cosy. Our kids loved the log burner and asked for one for Christmas! Every room was well thought out and decorated in a homely way. The ceilings were high which gave the impression of even more space. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us plus our springer spaniel who was well catered for with a towel by the door to wipe his feet and some treats left in the kitchen. The heating was easy to adjust which was very useful. We did a short 3km walk around the village, lots are listed in the welcome book. Fettercairn is 20 mins from St Cyrus beach, we visited Lunan Bay on the way up and then Dunotter Castle and Stonehaven (the harbour was very pretty!) on the way home. The village is cute and has a small shop which is handy and there’s a cafe very close too. Within an hour of being there I’d booked to return for the first week in Jan!!

The steps getting up to property with a one year old

Beautiful decor. Well documented welcome book(exceptional). Everything you need to know and more. Lovely welcome gift and even treats for dog as well as poo bags,food bowl, blanket and towel. Owners very helpful if needed and very welcoming. Attention to detail was excellent.

The only thing was the stairs up to flat were a bit steep and narrow but this is the building’s original structure so not much you can do about that.

Beautiful apartment, very comfortable, in a amazing litlle village, leather sofa, charming wall painting. Pet/dog friendly!! Felt like home.
