The stairs to the Apartment are a bit steep.

The small details: the pint of fresh milk waiting in the fridge, the wood burning stove with plenty of kindling and logs, the complimentary home made shortbread biscuits, the luxuriously soft towels and rugs, and the most comfortable bed I have slept in, away from home. Fantastic.

No cafetiere! (But we survived)

The apartment is extremely comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. The hosts have paid great attention to detail and put a lot of effort into the small things, but it is these things that make the difference between liking and loving a property… and we loved it! They had left us milk in the fridge and tea, coffee and sugar too, as well as homemade ‘Fettercairn Arch’ Shortbread, which was a lovely, thoughtful touch.

The one and only dislike was the staircase up to the apartment - it was very steep, and each morning, debris from the roof/gutter was strewn all over the steps, which made them quite dangerous, especially as it rained.

The decoration of the Apartment was fabulous, and provided everything that we needed for a relaxing time plus an unexpected welcome pack for all of us (including the dogs) was like the cherry on top !!

Cozy Stay by the log fire was just what we needed for a weekend away. Welcoming touches were great - loved the shortbread!

Very stylish apartment, right in the middle of Fettercairn

No coffee pot!

Comfortable, spacious, well designed, well stocked, welcoming. Within easy reach of the shop. Everything seemed to have been well thought through.
