Dartmoor Inn Merrivale

Die Lage im Dartmoor war wunderschön und das Essen sehr gut

Die Zimmer sind für eine Übernachtung ganz okay Da wir aber zwei Nächte übernachten haben, fehle uns der Komfort Es war sehr heiß und es gab keinen Aufenthaltsraum sondern nur die kleinen Zimmer ohne Klimaanlage mit dem Fenster zum sonnigen kleinen Gastgarten. Das Lokal ist bekannt für seine Steaks die wirklich gut waren, allerdings war auch noch am Morgen der Geruch von Fleisch zu riechen. Über Nacht waren wir mit den anderen Gästen alleine im Haus Sobald das Pup geschlossen hat, ist das Personal heimgegangen und es war generell niemand mehr da Am nächsten Morgen ist erst ab neun Uhr jemand gekommen

Dinner at the pub downstairs, we had a feast of meats was amazing. Room was small and basic but all that we needed for the night.

Terrific place, third time I've stayed here. Excellent location, bus stop outside if you don't want to drive. Excellent beer and the food cooked over an open fire is tremendous! A real peaceful haven.

Not getting any breakfast in morning, when ordered night before as staff never turned up.Couldnt plug in kettle in bedroom as lead to short to reach socket where positioned.No selection of teas or coffees and no biscuits.Mattress saging and poor quality.Curtains not fitted to track properly.Toilet in bathroom not fitted to floor so moved when using and no privacy screen on window, just pulled curtains,overlooking chefs recreational area.Being told by staff there would be enough cuts of steak as got loads when booking table.Even tho told by email first come ,first served. So no butcher's block as run out and no cheaper cuts of tomahawk as our table was booked at 7.30pm.

fantastic owner we above and beyond reece at breakfast was outstanding. the owner couldn’t do enough for us

a few tweaks needed curtains didn’t pull and a few hooks missing . also lack of toiletries i. the bathroom howe er i have to say the views and food made up for it

This place was exactly what we needed. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable. The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us, always asking if we needed anything, if everything was ok with our stay. As for the food my husband is a qualified chef and he was sat there saying it was the best steak he had eaten. It was so delicious (both nights we ate and standards were excellent). The views all around were amazing, it was so nice to wake up to seeing sheep and horses just doing their own thing in nature. If you enjoy walks you'll love it here. It's not too far for you to visit other areas like Lands End, St Ives and many more places.
