Dartmoor Inn Merrivale

Bel emplacement! Belle chambre, un lieu très chouette ! Le lunch du dimanche midi était fabuleux ,des grillades avec une viande délicieuse,des accompagnements qui sont des légumes bien cuisinés et des frites . On a juste du attendre dehors 2h pour avoir une table vers 15h Et on a découvert ( pas vu sur le site) que le dimanche soir il n'y avait pas de restauration.. Et comme on était à vélos et loin de tout, ca commençait mal.... Mais le patron etait charmant ! Il nous a laissé un plateau de fromages et de fruits,on etait seuls dans l'auberge avec les clés on a rentrés nos vélos dans ĺa salle de resto et pour le breakfast ( qui n'était pas servi) il nous a laissé plein de nourriture au frigo! Donc au final une très très belle adresse !!!!!!

Slightly disappointed that the breakfast was a set price as I didn’t have the cooked breakfast but still had to pay the same. No hand towels in bedroom.

The evening meal was AMAZING, such good beef. Breakfast on a Monday not so great as they are so busy the night before!

Das Nachtessen war spitze! Besonders für Fleischliebhaber zum empfehlen. Mitten im Moor zu wohnen ist perfekt zum wandern.

Das Frühstück ist erst ab 9.30 Uhr. War für uns etwas spät.

The location and the restaurant

The bathroom is small

The young team were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, and served a good breakfast.

The room was shabby, musty-smelling, poorly furnished and poorly equipped. Stains on the walls, Polyfilla keeping the toilet roll holder in place, a cracked and dirty hand basin and stained towels the room was nowhere near the standard I would expect for £150 per night.

Quirky place, staff are incredibly friendly and food was great. Lots of young staff, which was great to see. They all worked hard and well together

Drinks are expensive, but the food was reasonable. I would suggest not sitting in the room they cook in as it quickly fills with smoke. Also, Ash lands on the seats from the fire. The young lady who showed us our room was incredibly honest. She explained that you would hear noise until roughly 23:30 at night. It's quite noisy but easily ignored when tired. I'm glad we went, and it was an interesting place.
