Soetgeluk Farm Cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It was conveniently located very close to Stable View, where we attended a wedding. The heated blankets were a wonderful touch during the cold winter weather, and the property had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was spacious, easy to find, and well-equipped. Welma was an exceptionally kind and welcoming host. We would happily stay here again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It is a bit dark inside but totally manageable

Very clean and tidy. Had everything we needed for our one night stay. The closest location to the wedding venue Stable View. We didn't get to meet our host Welma but she was very helpful and professional over WhatsApp. Small things like filter coffee, hairdryer, ice etc were noted and appreciated!

Nothing we didn't like, our host warned us about the badly damaged farm roads (due to the recent heavy rains) but it was no problem with a bakkie.

The place is lovely and peaceful, and private, easily accessible from Jhb, and easy to get to. The beds, linen and sitting room furniture are clean and very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. It was nice to have a gas stove since the electricity supply is patchy. Welma has supplied ground coffee as well as rusks and tea, sugar and milk that adds a touch of luxury.

I wished there was a covered stoep attached to the house, and I would have liked to be able to go for walks on the farm, however, we felt, since the place has two electric gates to get in and out of, that perhaps we were not supposed to do so. I understand the braai being away from the house, since there is a thatched roof, but I would have preferred an integrated sitting/braai area.

Communication was quick and clear
