A peaceful retreat. Great value for money, with an outside pool and lake with paddle boarding and 2 little boats to take out. We had the breakfast buffet which was good

The place is a nice change of pace from daily life. The free use of the water sports equipment is perfect, and the swimming pool is great too.

The pizza they sell in the restaurant isn't very good at all, and it's rather pricey for what you get. So bring your own food.

The location was fabulous. Such wonderful grounds. The layout was well thought out and so peaceful. The swimming lake and pool were exceptional! Shared bathroom areas were the nicest I had ever seen. Very pet and child friendly. Staff were excellent.

Restaurant menu was limited and wouldn't eat there again as the pizzas were lacking flavour. Would benefit from some sort of communal kitchen area where guests could cook as no cooking facilities in the tents or cabins.

Lots of outdoor activities, beautiful surroundings! Quirky decor! A real gem of a place! The pool was excellent!

I didn’t like it at all - manager is not cooperative

I also booked a tent here for my bank holiday getaway. When I arrived, the tent was unsanitary, not clean, smelt very bad and didn't feel healthy to stay in. I told the manager on site and they said there was nothing they could do. I called the hotel several times. No one ever picked up. It was getting close to midnight on check-in day and I was worried I'd be charged 100% as a no-show. So I cancelled manually and had to pay a 50% cancellation fee. I wrote 'unsanitary tent' as the reason. The hotel later posted a public response claiming I was 'confused about a treehouse.' This is completely false. I never mentioned a treehouse. I clearly explained the tent was unsanitary and unhealthy. Their response is an attempt to mislead future guests. The host refused to help me on site and wouldn't answer my calls. My bank holiday was ruined. The tent was unusable. I strongly recommend booking somewhere clean and sanitary instead.

I went to the manager on site and explained the problem. They said there was nothing they could do and I would have to sort it out with the platform myself. The platform was really helpful and said they would ask the hotel to let me cancel for free because of the health and sanitary issues. The hotel never replied to them. Beautiful location. The cabin was clean, very well presented inside, with plenty of coffee and tea ect. The swimming pool is clean and was very refreshing on the hot days. Having the paddle boards and boats added a great way to enjoy the lake and also relax. There was also badminton and other games to pass away the time. All the staff we met went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasure. It is obvious they work very hard and take alot of pride in their work.

We found it odd that the evening menu was restricted to pizza every night. The only other option being salads (green or lentil) that where sides. I personally class pizza as a junk food that has very few health benefits and it is a very restrictive menu esp for people that may be gluten intolerant /sensitive or not like pizza. I was led to believe that the menu changes. This led to people going out in the evening into Swaffham to eat. Meaning a loss of revenue for the business.
