Fantastic place! I definitely want to go back!

The facilities were fantastic: the pool, the lake with boats and SUPs, the fire pit with plenty of logs, the beautiful parkland…

Stunning setting, the gardens are beautiful. The cabin is a shed, but it was fine for one night - I loved waking up to birds singing. The pool is also nice.

Honestly, this place could be amazing, I was hoping it would be somewhere I could invite family and friends too but unfortunately I would not recommend anyone to stay more than 1 -2 nights. The staff are a shambles, and that is putting it politely. Clearly they have no training whatsoever. To start with, I asked the person in the cafe if there was an area for those staying without a kitchen in accommodation - she said ‘I don't know, I only work on the kitchen.’ 😳 So she knew nothing about the facilities in the ‘retreat’ she worked at. Breakfast - underwhelming, chaotic and pathetic. It's croissants, boiled eggs (no other type of egg) some sausage, bacon and ham and cheese. There was no boiled eggs left. The lady said give her 10 mins to put on a boil. Came back. She said she had forgot 🤣. Had to wait 20 mins for an egg to go with my cold and old bacon and sausage. Lunch - only choice was 2 sandwiches, nothing else - I paid £15 for a sandwich on nasty cheap white bread, which had the same ham and cheese I had a breakfast 🙈 - £15 is a ridiculous price for a sandwich, but when it contains the breakfast I already paid another £15 for, its an insult. Dinner - pizza. Again, £15 for a crap pizza, and guess what? It was pizza only every night for the entire week 😂. I'd seen on Instagram the food was made using ingredients from the land. Well, that clearly isn't a thing anymore if it ever was. Paid London prices for the worst made coffees, again clearly no training provided. The river is stagnant. The staff didn't know how to check us out. So we had to wait whilst they ‘learnt’ Check in, is at 4 which is ridiculous. Check out is at 10am, so they have 6 hours to clean a shed? Takes less time to do a end of tenancy clean in a 2 bed house. All in all, there was plenty of staff, but none with any abilities to manage.

food was a bit dear- not a very good selection of tinned drink-milk jugs were dirty-got kettle for room and t-bags and coffee, the lady was very helpful-need to got to the shop before you arrive or the local village for food and drink items

Absolutely stunning place to stay. Fantastic facilities with a beautiful country setting. All you can hear is birds and sheep. We stayed in a bell tent which was really comfy and cosy. Bed was super comfortable. The pool was so great too, very clean and well kept. All the staff we met couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. Shower and toilet block were lovely and spotless with great facilities. Honestly this place blew me away, such great value too

So relaxing, surrounded by nature, great facilities and heating, lovely cafe on site.

It is advertised that you can swim in the lake but you can’t due to the algae and blanket weed. It was quite stagnant in areas.

Location is brilliant

No little fridge in the lodges
