The location is stunning. The property was comfortable. It was ideal for us. It had outside parking. The WiFi worked fine and we used the firestick no problems. The cottage was well equipped.

The postcode didn't take us to the cottage it took us up this really steep bumpy bit of road which gave me bad anxiety, wish I had researched the route first. The taps wouldn't get hot so we had no hot water apart from the shower. I did message them threw this app but no reply. The garden wasn't great.

Comfortable, simply but tastefully decorated. Beautiful view. Lovely location.

If you are looking to eat in the local pub you need to book well ahead.

Tricky to find

Such a peaceful, quiet location. Property was fully equipped in the kitchen, there was also a washing machine and iron and ironing board. We were provided with towels too. Beds were comfortable. Great WiFi and tv / firestick worked with no issues. Lovely walking area, pub within walking distance and we ordered a lovely takeaway who delivered to us via Just Eat. Found out the “red house” is the distance was used for filming a popular Netflix series. Love the other close attractions like the indoor butterfly zoo and others included in the visitor information book.

The heater in the double room was out of order and not to be used so there was a mini heater in the room but still felt cold throughout the night and downstairs was cold in the morning. There was some dirt that wasn’t cleaned before our stay and the tea towel provided in the kitchen was heavily stained / dirty. When running the bath there was black bits that came out of the tap so had to empty and re-run. The hot water also gets extremely hot - a caution sign may be appropriate. The garden was quite unsuitable to be used (although there was 2 sets of tables and chairs which was nice).

Location was nice and views were good. It was nice to be able to walk to the forest, river, and local restaurants. Overall, the property had everything that you need. Wi-Fi worked well.

All beds were very uncomfortable. We booked 2 nights however, we left before second night as we could not get a restful night sleep in the beds. The property could have been cleaner with food crumbs and wrappers under all beds and couches. Obtaining the key code to get in the property was difficult. Key code was promised 30 minutes before check-in time. However, I had to message the owner to remind to send the code which I obtained after check-in time. This was made more difficult due to very limited mobile phone signal. We had to walk up a hill to get signal. Lucky it was not raining. The back yard was not suitable for sitting in as the back yard needs maintenance. TV was difficult to use.
