It was in the right location.

It was a bit dull and dated. My room had some form of fan/ventilation system just outside the window. I didn’t get a receipt for payment which might impact my getting my expenses recompensed by my employer.

Only had a bacon butty for breakfast, was ok. Ordered some side orders on the day of arrival. Half of them went to another table, when asked if we was getting some more, as the other table ate them, waitress replied I'll have to ask. We eventually got some more

My bed was lop sided. Probably because the room sloped slightly. No issue with that, it’s an old building I get it. But the fact they hadn’t made the bed level was. Also a double duvet on a single bed in this weather! Had to take the duvet out and then wrestle with the double sheet on a single bed. Really bad WiFi, poor signal that kept dropping out. The bath leaked so the floor ended up soaked. Laminate floor in a bathroom, leaking water and no mat provided, slipped so had to use the hand towel as a floor mat and to soak up the water. Also exposed wires on the light fitting which hung low so kept bashing it.

The bathroom door didn't close properly , that was the only problem we had, bed was very comfy, the pub was good.

There was nothing we didn't like about the bowman, it was good value for money.

A nice, quiet place in a small town. Polite & considerate staff, you get more than what you pay for. Clean rooms with all the necessary amenities available. It can be a bit noisy as there is a bar just downstairs, but other than that, absolutely value for money.
