When I first arrived all I wanted was a hot shower and to unwind after a very cold and wet motorbike ride.the first room I was given was clean and presentable but unfortunately there was an issue with the shower,(a previous guest had knocked of a dial from a radiator which I think was what caused the issue, not the hotels fault as such) running it for 10mins there was no hot water at all, I went down to speak to the staff behind the bar and they checked the boiler room but no joy, so I was moved to another room, I’d paid for a single room and they upgraded me to a double, and yes the shower in the double room was more than adequate for my needs, I needed 3 showers before I’d even warmed up properly. No food available on site but there was a shop conveniently located directly opposite the hotel so I was able to go across and get some sandwiches to eat as I didn’t want to eat out elsewhere and also being able to get a cold beer and take it back to the room from the pub below the hotel was great, ideal location to park my motorbike bike though so wasn’t concerned about the safety of it through the night

The noise from the pub below was a bit much and also people walking through the cut through, but it was a Saturday night and once I’d shut the window it did drown out a bit of the noise

Gave me an upgrade on the room

Room was directly over the beer garden and toilets it was very noisy until 1am in the morning

I was a female travelling alone. No hassle from anyone. Left alone to enjoy a drink in the bar. Bed comfortable. Shower excellent. Friendly staff.

Be prepared for bar noise and people sitting outside in good weather.For the money, it was good though.
