Shower tray could have done with a clean but appreciate it is sharing with others

Ash the host was friendly and kind gave me a cuppa every morning.

The bed had a soft spring mattress, which was exchanged.

No sheets on beds expected to sleep between duvet covers .When I asked for sheets finally got one sheet, NOT TWO .They dont understand the word up to International Standards which owner keep telling us it was. I have photo documentation if the owner wishes to disagree with me.The advertising on BOOKING.COM of property is false advertising. Shows a lovely lounge also a pool which quest are not permitted to. NO Smoke alarms in bedrooms . Shower blocked we had to show the owner how to lift out the drain as it was blocked with so much hair and soap scum . Freezing cold . We could only put up with it for 3nights not the seven nights we were booked in .

Location was what I expected

Bed needed to be upgraded; I could feel the springs, bedding was inadequate and not cleaned, (sheet and pillow cases were washed, duvet covers were not washed), there wasn’t a top sheet; just an empty duvet covers. Bed side touch lamp only working initially then wouldn’t run off. Door handles turn upwards, need to be changed, bath has shower nozzle and water goes all over the floor, no curtain on bathroom window, no fan on bathroom. Kitchen inadequate; no grater, veggy peeler, or spatula. Aggressive notices about using mobile phones in the kitchen. Owner came down to my room and told me off for closing the door noisily. You can hear the owners walking, opening doors etc upstairs. I thought it was a professional accomodation as they call it a lodge, it is just an unregulated b n b.
