Babbling Brook Cottage

We loved the location of the property. Many amenities including pubs, cafes and shops were all within walking distance. The property was decorated beautifully and the kitchen had everything you could require for self-catering. It's nice to have two very good-sized bathrooms too. Off-road parking is also a bonus.

The towels provided were quite small. For the taller adults (6ft+) this was a struggle! The mattresses may need replacing at a near-date, as both were quite uncomfortable.

Very modern fully equipped cottage. Dan, our host was very accommodating for last minute change in put plans. Very good location for some of the most popular hikes and walks in that area. Village was very cute and offered good restaurants too.

Was not a negative for us but some people may find the stairs a bit much and the parking spot was a bit difficult to manoeuvre but definitely doable. Can also just park down to road for free.

The features were lovely and classic with a great modern twist. Close to a lot of great places to visit.

It was clean and beautifully refurbished

The stairs were a challenge that would have benefitted from a handrail from lounge to kitchen The lighting in the kitchen was very poor making it difficult to work in. Depressing.

We visited for a Mon and son Mother’s Day treat and my son wanted to get out of London for a few days. The property was in an excellent location for exploring the area. It was excellent value for money. It had great facilities- pub, food outlets nearby and lovely walks starting right from the front door. The cottage itself has been very well refurbished with great bathrooms, tasteful decorations and furnishings. It was warm, comfortable and a great place to hang out. We slept really well. Everything had been thought of. I hope to come back soon with my husband.

Myself and my friend would usually travel to this area for a walking/hiking holiday, but had decided we wanted to relax this time, and the property didn't disappoint. The sofa was so unbelievably comfy, which made it perfect for watching a film with a glass (or two) of wine in the evenings. Loved that we were able to park the car off the road, next to a cute little private courtyard seating area. The Moon Inn pub just across the road was great, such lovely staff and the food/drink was fab, would highly recommend. Fantastic communication with the host if we had any questions. Everything was finished to a high standard, and we would love to visit again.
