Victorian Police Station Apartment

Ziggy was the perfect host, very friendly and couldn’t have been any more accommodating. It was great to meet him before settling into my accommodation and I felt right at home. It was lovely to have roses by the bed and I really liked the cotton bag with towels and toiletries. Having breakfast, tea and coffee ready for the morning was the icing on the cake.

This property was perfectly located to explore Launceston on foot and the wider area by car. The apartment was made up of the original cells in the police station and has many of the original features so it's an unusual place to stay but really nicely converted and has all you need. The thick walls ensure it's quiet and I had a peaceful night's sleep in the comfortable bed. Breakfast was supplied in the kitchen and there was more than one choice. The croissants were delicious. I'd definitely book again if the property is available the next time I visit Launceston.

Quiet and peaceful, great hosts very attentive and friendly. Great location apartment is to very high standard, which Ziggy has worked hard at the keep original features of the cells.

Thr tight drive, the Hall way light turning on with a sensor and not switch, which can affect others when going to toilet through the night.

Rooms was quirky, clean in the room and kitchen facilities etc

Description leads u to think it’s an apartment but it more of just two rooms. Walking through someone’s front room was uncomfortable for me personally, specially as there was cats and there cat food smells. Again didn’t say this in description which would be a problem if had allergies. Meant to stay two nights, Only stayed one night as wasn’t comfortable unfortunately

I liked it being close to facilities and the buses. The kitchen being stocked for breakfast was good too.

Having to walk through someone's living room, but that is just inevitable for where it was. I would stay again.

There was nothing to dislike about the property at all it had everything we needed

This property is quirky, interesting and has been converted to a very high standard - the owners should be very proud of their work. Although inevitably the former police cells lacked a bit of natural light, the ambience and lighting more than compensated and I was able to work at the small dining table very effectively. I wasn't really expecting breakfast so was delighted to find a litre of fresh milk, butter, jam and croissants plus cereals and porridge options on arrival: a nice touch! Highly recommended!

Very little - a small wardrobe or hanging space for clothes is under preparation and would have benefited me (I suspect the majority of travellers have stayed for leisure).
