"perfect for large families"

10.0

the caravan is situated in a quiet location, the checking in and checking out times were excellent. the caravan was nice and clean with everything we needed and the added bonus of gated decking around it with plenty of seating and an egg chair which was a hit with the granddaughters

parking was tricky as we had 2 cars, the parking was very tight

"An ideal base for a Blackpool break and a Haven holiday"

10.0

Nice quiet wooded location but easy walking distance to the entertainment centre if you wanted to use it. A lovely caravan with a large veranda/balcony for when we have good weather. All amenities/facilities you would require are there. Even televisions in the bedrooms. Beautiful kitchen.

At first we found you are only allocated one parking space but there is plenty of other free parking space right by the caravan so there was no problem.

"Not quite a luxury venue"

6.0

The caravan was right next to the nature reserve and another van owner had an array of bird feeders to attract many birds. It felt spacious. The shower was a really good size for a caravan. The keybox system allows hassle-free access at your leisure when you arrive. There were only a few signs of wear/breakages so it was mostly in good condition and clean.

The beds were uncomfortable. Even the double which had a foam matress was suffering from a dip. The single mattresses were the spring type and you can feel the springs. Sometimes some of us opted to sleep on the sofa instead. The shower head needs descaling. The hoover needs the filter and tubes cleaning. There was no colander/seive/strainer. Cutlery was bending with normal use. No remote for TV in one bedroom. Shower room window would not open ( so we kept fan on to dry out the room). Trim at top of decking stairs was detached and a tripping hazard. Carparking space was tight for our people mover ( bear in mind, the caravan can sleep 8 so a big car goes with that number of people). The parking spot was 3 vans away, and there were tripping hazards en route, especially after dark. The nature reserve is neglected with the bird hides graffiti covered, full of broken glass and smelling of beer, with their views of the lake obstructed by reeds...we were disappointed.( whilst the van owner obviously doesn't have any control over this venue, it is mentioned on the ad. Also mentioned on the ad was WIFI....but there was not any. Nor could we get any phone signal in the area so we could not plan our days out very easily. There was no point paying for entertainment passes just to access the pool...there are pools in the town. The shower seat was too low...someone who needs to sit in a shower often doesn't have the leg strength to stand up from such a low position.
