Hotel Samanala Sigiriya

This is a beautiful place where you can instantly feel it like home 🤍 It's my second time in Sri Lanka and I couldn't ask for more from Saman and all people here who took very good care of me and anything I needed :) the place is beautiful, clean, with a great breakfast to start your day 😌 would go back anytime for the beautiful sites in Sigiriya or just to escape from the vibe of our busy worlds. My best stay in Sri Lanka (from 8 places:)) 10/10 👌

Everybody working at Samanala was so nice and working so hard to make our stay great. There was a great and relax vibe. The rooms are nice and the brandnew pool was perfect. We had a bbq with fresh fish and chicken. The jeepdriver Hashan was also really great. My son and daughter loved him and made a new friend! If we return to Sri Lanka we would definitely stay here again!

There was nothing we disliked, only that we had to leave!

A lovely home stay with a great pool and a very friendly and welcoming team. Saman and his team went out of their way to make sure we were happy and even dropped us off and picked us up wherever we needed to go! We had a great time and would definitely recommend.

The owner, Saman, is great. He was super helpful booking our Elephant Safari, car to Kandy, laundry and anything else! The pool is excellent, especially in the Sigiriya heat, room is a great size with aircon, and we were lucky enough to be there for New Years celebrations! He invited us to eat, dance, and celebrate with his entire family which was really special. Would recommend to anyone looking for a serene, quiet home stay it was a lovely experience

Wifi was poor. Hotel is a little bit away from the restaurants (25-35min walk) but tuktuk is easy and it’s straight the whole way if you don’t mind a walk.

It was a delight to stay at saman's guest house. The airconditioned rooms were spacious and clean and the beds were big and comfy. The place itself is a little oasis in the hot, humid climate of Sri Lanka. The pool was spotlessly clean and even had a shallow part for kids. Saman, the owner, does everything to make your stay comfortable. On the second night he even made a delicious BBQ meal for the guests! Would definitely come back here!

As we were having temperatures of 37 degrees, air conditioning and a pool became very important. Saman’s pool must be the swankiest pool in Sri Lanka. He sure has an eye for aesthetics’s, from the planting to the lighting he’s created a very cool and unique vibe.

Family owned and managed business . Lovely generous people willing to please. Offer a range of tour based options of local area. Pool new and a welcome relief from the heat of the day.

Amazing spot, Saman the owner and his family are so sweet and helpful. It creates a lovely and peaceful atmosphere. The swimming pool was the cherry on the cake, so lovely for cooling down in the quite and humid area! We went to Sigirya's rock for sun rise and had breakfast after. Staff gave us a lift there in their jeep so grateful!

The aircon in the room was playing up a little overnight but everything else was perfect!

Thank you, I enjoyed very much! Pool is clean and cool, they also ordered sun bed mattresses for comfort. Saman is super helpful guy looking after the guests. It's a bit far from the "city" but walking along the street is nice as you can explore the wood carving companies on the way. The town is super small, cute litte town :) Visit barista for nice cheece cake! I visited Pidurangala and Sigiriya rock. They really are keeping the place clean and making sure guests are happy :)

First room was a bit moistured, But I was able to change the room for better inside air quolity. . I stayed 2 extra nights as well.

Lovely pool with seating around, enough sun beds, overall pleasant area. Staff very attentive, always asking if we want anything or they can do something for us. No noise from the road and good sleep

Breakfast was more on the basic side compared to other places we visited in sri lanka. But we were still full enough
