Unclean, unsafe, smelled, poor communication

I had booked and paid for an apartment in monthly stays. They cancelled it the night before I got to Liverpool. I had to book another more expensive apartment in the same place as I am disabled and need to be hear the venue we were going to. Nice enough apartment. Not worth £1000.00.

It was up the top of the apartment block about five flights of stairs. I am disabled so it was very difficult for me to get up and down the stairs. The elevator apparently hasn’t worked for a long while and the owner Jeff. Doesn’t bother to fix it. I spoke with people that live permanently in the apartments. Apparently Jeff has a habit of cancelling his bookings if he is offered a longer stay. That’s why I was cancelled at last minute because golf was on. 1.The bin in the kitchen was absolutely stinky. It hadn’t been washed and a black bag just put over the rubbish already lying in the bin. 2. The two sofas were smelly and full of crumbs and hair under the cushions. It smelled of dog. I couldn’t sit in the sofas at all. I sat on the dining chairs. 3. the windows didn’t open in the living room. They were filthy. 4. It was really warm and there was only only one broken tower fan for the whole apartment. 5. Apartment not finished off well at all. Not especially spotlessly clean. For having to pay an extra £400.00 for the apartment not happy at all with it. 6. The stairs were a killer for me. No one to help with luggage etc.

The apartment was clean and modern; well presented and suitable for our group size

The access to the apartment was arduous with several flights of steps that were found challenging .

Great location. Relatively clean. Good price compared to a hotel.

Little communication for checking in or checking out. Ceiling was leaking a couple of times. This was reported but we did not here a response. The room was advertised with a sofa bed, but only a sofa was included. No extra towels provided.

Avoid at all costs.

Cancelled the day before I travelled to Liverpool. Rang and left messages. Never got a reply. I ended up paying more for alternative accommodation. Totally unacceptable.
