Rainbow Hotel Vientiane

I had reserved a private double room with an en suite. However when I arrived they didn’t have my room. They tried to give me a shared bathroom room and said they gave me a discount. But really they just offered me the normal price. After a long journey with a bad leg and given it was late, I didn’t want to have to go somewhere else. Especially given I took an expensive taxi to the hotel. I managed to get them to reduce price slightly and went with the shared bathroom. The room was filthy. There was dirt everywhere. The room stank of cigarettes and had fag butts on the floor. There was no window to the room. Also the ‘free breakfast’ is really just bread. Despite the fact they didn’t have the room I reserved, the owner still tried to charge me an extortionate amount for late checkout. He was rude and grumpy. A terrible hotel that I would discourage anyone from staying at.

Very bad, narrow room and no facilities, dirty toilet, not worth with paid price. I will never come back I am so sure. Breakfast is terrible.
