Cregg Castle

Absolutely beautiful !!! If you want something completely different, this is the place to be. Alan is very kind and his castle was a peaceful break for our holidays.

Alan has done an amazing job making the castle welcoming and homely while preserving the atmosphere and character of the castle. Such an amazing experience, we loved it. The castle is beautiful and unique, it is also clean. Alan gave clear instructions and was very friendly and would’ve been easy to approach if we had any issues. Loved the cats!!

Anything ‘inconvenient’ is simply due to circumstances that come with staying in the castle, such as the lack of wifi simply just being the location, so I have nothing to note. Any inconvenience I could think of probably just adds to the stay and make it special.

Loved the cosy room and the bed was comfortable. I’m used to camping and a small oil heater was in the room. Beautiful location and the castle was interesting as was the artwork. Alan was responsive to messages and had clear instructions

The castle is in a neglected state, which was sad. But the room was fine for the price.

Proche de Galway.

Le propriétaire est inexistant. Le château n’est absolument pas entretenu. La rondelle des toilettes était cassée ainsi qu’une fenêtre. Bref passez votre chemin.

We liked the location a short drive from Galway and the secluded stay. Exploring the grounds was a highlight. We stayed here to have a unique experience.

We didn't receive the informational welcome email until the day after we arrived-not sure if that was a Booking.com issue or the host's, but having the check-in information BEFORE we arrived would have led to a better overall experience. Although the experience we had was good for us, I recommend that you do your research, especially if you have allergies- the photos I saw online are outdated. I would have liked a little informational brochure/paper about the history of the location.
