Cregg Castle

Gostámos da experiência. Na verdade, é disso que se trata. Acho que as pessoas devem ler muito bem a descrição que o Alan faz do castelo antes de marcar a reserva para não criar muitas expectativas. É um castelo com 400 anos em processo de recuperação. O nosso quarto era quente e confortável.

Penso que um quarto familiar precisa de ter mais de duas tomadas elétricas. A rede é quase inexistente e não há wi-fi. Na minha opinião, mesmo sabendo que o castelo está num processo de recuperação, o trajeto entre os quartos e a cozinha partilhada devia ser mais cuidado, ou melhor, este trajeto devia ser prioritário na recuperação.

Cregg Castle is a charming and large estate with lots of little quirks and things to love about it. Our room was really great besides things that are more attributed to the castle as a whole such as the temperature or the smell of dampness. Alan made sure to make our room as enjoyable as possible which I appreciate. Also the price matches the quality of the room we received so this is a bargain for those looking to stay somewhere close-ish to Galway City. It is also walkable to Peggy's Restaurant although the roads are a bit scary -- maybe bring a hi-vis jacket and there was a bus that ran close that dropped us off in the city which was nice and helped save on cabs.

Cregg Castle is obviously still a work in progress so this is something to keep in mind. Your experience will not reflect one of luxury or relaxation but still it is very worth it to stay here especially for the price point. Do not expect all amenities you would typically expect as a North American such as centralized heating or concrete pathways. While not as outdoors as camping, it definitely feels like a unique experience.

It was okay but it was very cold no central heating just a heater.. the room was large but heater to small really to make a difference..

Loved the experience of staying in a castle. My daughter loved the cats. Out of the way was nice. Kitchen well appointed.

I would rethink the bed linens and utilize top and bottom sheets. It's an old castle and that was awesome. If you're not willing to have quirky and a bit crumbling, don't stay here. We enjoyed it just fine. A great memory.

We had the whole castle for ourselves (and the 2 cats). Very nice room, beautiful setting. Woke up with sheep and cows in the garden. Owner is very nice and a great artist. Very close to a very nice restaurant: Peggy's.

Was a bit cold

Különleges élmény egy több száz éves kastélyban megszállni. A szobánk kellemes volt, az ágyak nagyon kényelmesek. A házigazda kedves, a cicák tündériek. A kastély erősen felújításra szorul, de látszik az igyekezet. Ha egyszer sikerül a végére jutni, csodás lesz.

Kicsit hideg volt a szoba és a fürdőszoba is, de hűvös, szeles március végén nem könnyű befűteni a vastag falak között.
