Cregg Castle

Il castello è in fase di miglioramento, naturalmente la struttura è vecchiotta e ci sono lavori in corso. La nostra stanza era grande con bagno privato. Data la tipologia dell' edificio, gli ambienti erano freschi(inizio marzo) ma con 2 stufette a disposizione e 2 bei piumini, siamo stati al caldo (bagno a parte). Non abbiamo avuto modo di interagire con Alan ma è stato comunque previdente e ci ha fornito tutte le indicazioni necessarie. Il soggiorno è caratteristico, tutto sommato siamo stati soddisfatti

It is winter, it is a giant stone building, yes it was cold.

Is very quirky and unusual to stay in. We just wanted to experience something different on our adventure. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable. My daughter loved the cats they are extremely friendly. Overall was just fun to stay somewhere unique.

Id just suggest people to do their research of they aren't as laid back as us they might not know what to expect. It is a old house so can be cold in communal areas and damp. But it is a work in progress and has great potential.

The only positive note was the kindness of the owner and the cleanliness of the premises and linen. The beds were good and the duvets were warm, but the pillows, still in feather, had that old air that makes you uncomfortable. The grove around the property is beautiful.

The services offered are basic, just enough for a comfortable stay. The rooms were cold, and despite the season, the heating was scarce and insufficient. The bathroom was the biggest disappointment: the shower water was difficult to regulate, it alternated moments of frost with jets that burned you. A really unpleasant experience. The name "castle" evokes a fascinating atmosphere, but the only "typical" thing about a castle was the structure, which was rather decadent and poorly cared for. Don't expect modernity: not only do they lack details of comfort, but the entire environment seems poorly adapted to hospitality. No soap, no shampoo, no Wi-Fi and poor phone signal. All this makes the stay very uncomfortable.

Falta conforto (precisa de mais aquecimento, as almofadas também podiam ser melhores). Também falta um pouco de limpeza

La cocina estaba un poco sucia y el castillo un poco desangelado. El baño muy frío y algo oscuro.

Übernachten in so einem alten Gemäuer ist schon ein Erlebnis. Die Kinder waren begeistert. Zimmer war sauber.

Es ist schon kalt in dem Castle. Im Zimmer steht zum Glück ein Radiator. Ein Föhn für Gäste wäre toll.

Not very warm..damp, a bit moldy. Shower wasn’t acceptable…drain was so slow water almost overflowed the pan. Hot/cold was very hard to regulate.
